Comprehensive collaboration agreement signed between OMU and Osaka University
OMU and Osaka University signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement on June 17, 2022. The agreement targets human resources development and research promotion, among other foundations for Osaka’s growth and development.
Attending the signing ceremony were Professor Shojiro Nishio, President of Osaka University, Professor Masahiro Tatsumisago, President of OMU, and Professor Yoshiki Nishizawa, Chairperson of the University Public Corporation Osaka. In the future, the two universities will establish a council to consider specific areas for collaboration. During the signing ceremony, they announced a plan for collaborating in the development of infectious disease medical personnel and in the promotion of student initiatives to achieve the objectives of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This collaboration agreement between the two Osaka universities, which together boast one of the largest student populations in Japan, was signed to further the development of Osaka. This is to promote activities of researchers and students in both universities to transcend their boundaries and disseminate their achievements throughout not only Osaka but the world.
