Graduate School of Law alumnus visits OMU from Shanghai, China
On April 25, 2023, Mr. Huixin Shi, a 1996 alumnus of Osaka City University, Graduate School of Law paid a courtesy visit to Professor Makoto Tsubota, Vice President in charge of International Affairs.
Mr. Shi is currently a partner at All Bright Law Offices in Shanghai, China, and also serves as a legal advisor to Japanese and Japanese-affiliated companies, making use of his Japanese language skills, which he has been fluent in since his days as an international student. This was his first visit to his alma mater in a long time, as he was attending the 70th anniversary event of the School of Law, where his former supervisor, Professor Emeritus Katsutoshi Fujita, delivered a keynote speech.
According to Mr. Shi, studying in Japan remains popular in China, and Vice President Tsubota expressed his belief that attracting outstanding students from China is an important element for the internationalization of OMU. In response to Vice President Tsubota's comment that the help of graduates and alumni who are active overseas is very important for the internationalization of the university, Mr. Shi responded with a smile, "I recommend OMU to Chinese students whenever I have the opportunity.”
