OMU organizes alumni seminars and networking events in two Vietnamese cities
On Thursday, September 28, 2023, in Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital, and on Saturday, September 30, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s largest city, graduates of Osaka City University and Osaka Prefecture University came together for seminars introducing OMU and networking events. All these alumni are actively engaged in educational and research institutions as well as in companies in Vietnam.
Twenty-three alumni participated in the Hanoi event and 26 attended the Ho Chi Minh City gathering. Each seminar kicked off with an overview of OMU, followed by research presentations at each venue. The events were joyful, as the alumni reunited with their former academic advisors and study mates, creating a friendly atmosphere that persisted throughout.

These gatherings provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen the connections between supervisors and former students, which can be challenging to maintain after graduation, and to build networks among alumni. The events concluded on a high note with promises of a future reunion.
