Professor Yutaka Amao, director of the Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis (ReCAP), visited two of the center’s partner universities in Taiwan on April 18 and 19, 2024.

On the first day, National Central University Professor Hsieh-Lung Hsu, who is the university’s vice president for international affairs, and Professor Fa-Kuen Shieh, associate vice president for international affairs, hosted Professor Amao. Their discussions focused on cutting-edge research opportunities and student exchange programs to strengthen ties between the universities.

The next day, ReCAP Associate Professor Masazumi Tamura and Professor Amao shared their expertise through lectures during a workshop at National Taiwan University. The event was jointly hosted by ReCAP and NTU’s Center of Atomic Initiative for New Materials (AI-MAT).

The professors also visited the Blue Energy Laboratory, a joint project of ReCAP and AI-MAT established in March 2024. The visit included discussions on how to further promote joint research.
