Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS)
On November 7, a discussion was held at BAPPENAS in Jakarta with Director for Development Funding Planning Mada Dahana. In July 2024, OMU hosted a three-day training session focused on sustainable finance and urban development methods in Japan for BAPPENAS members as part of the J-PEAKS Asia Roundtable. During this follow-up meeting, it was reported that the training was being actively utilized in the field for development planning.
National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN)
On November 8, the delegation visited BRIN’s headquarters and met with Chairperson Laksana Tri Handoko and Director of Talent Management Raden Arthur Ario Lelono. This meeting was coordinated by Dr. April Hari Wardhana, a principal researcher at BRIN’s Parasitology Department and a longtime collaborator with OMU Professor Makoto Matsubayashi.
President Tatsumisago gave a greeting and overview of OMU. Professor Matsubayashi of the Graduate School of Veterinary Science, who has been conducting joint research with BRIN researchers for many years, followed with an introduction of his research. Advisor to the President Eiji Yuba of the Graduate School of Engineering, Lecturer Masami Nakazawa of the Graduate School of Agriculture, and Associate Professor Yoshihiro Ojima of the Graduate School of Engineering, who is expected to expand Japan-Indonesia joint research in the field of biomanufacturing, also presented their research.
