Vice President Sakuragi visits universities in Shanghai
With the aim of strengthening ties with universities in China, Vice President Hiroyuki Sakuragi and Associate Professor Wataru Horiuchi visited Shanghai to meet officials from East China University of Science and Technology and Fudan University, academic partners of OMU, and high-level research institution Tongji University from December 8 to 10, 2024.
The delegation sought to deepen exchanges with the partner universities and observe the high-level research environment of China’s top universities. The hope is to promote future international joint research and exchanges of students and researchers.
At each stop, the OMU delegation exchanged opinions and toured the campus. Each of the Chinese universities showed strong interest in OMU’s activities, the city of Osaka, and the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
The trip saw meaningful discussions held to expand future exchanges.
