ReCAP research on artificial photosynthesis makes front cover of “Sustainable Energy & Fuels”
A research team led by Professor Yutaka Amao, Director of the Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis, published a paper titled “Expression of biocatalysts and their use in monomer synthesis for biodegradable polymers from acetone and CO2,” featured on the front cover of the journal “Sustainable Energy & Fuels,” published by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
The design shows the process of making biodegradable plastic from acetone waste which contains ink and other contaminants that are difficult to reuse, and carbon dioxide collected in bags, as if they were being manufactured in a toy factory.
