Using machine learning to analyze the ice melting mechanism of deicers, we found that the mechanism is different between salts and organic solvents, and that combining the two improves the ice melting efficiency! This study is expected to provide new insights into the ice melting process and develop a highly efficient and environmentally friendly deicer that combines the advantages of salts and organic solvents. This research was led by Mr. Kai Ito, who graduated in FY2023!
