Associate Professor Hiromi Tanaka Presents at the 20th East Asian Social Policy Network (EASP) International Conference
At The 20th East Asian Social Policy Network (EASP) International Conference held at International Conference Center in Kyoto, Associate Professor Hiromi Tanaka presented the results of a comparative study on marriage support as a countermeasure to declining birthrates in Japan, South Korea, and China. Yasuka Hikita, a third-year student from the Department of Human Development and Welfare, also participated as a student staff member. She said that despite feeling anxious about operating in English during the conference, it turned out to be a very valuable experience. Hosting an international conference on social policy in Japan was an invaluable and noteworthy event.
