The 1st Kickoff Meeting was held (January 10-12, 2024)
As the very first activity for the launch of this A3 foresight project, we had a kick-off meeting from the 10th to 12th of January 2024 in Osaka, Japan. In total, 64 researchers from the Ohtani group and 49 researchers from the Takahashi group from the three countries gathered at the venue of Abeno Harukas in Osaka. In the meeting, 36 oral presentations, 9 short talks by young researchers and 36 poster presentations were held. As this was our first meeting, all the principal investigators gave presentations with the main aim of getting to know each other's research for future exchanges. Special lectures were also given by Professor Eiji Hara of Osaka University, a world leader in cellular senescence research, and Professor Toshiro Sato of Keio University, a world leader in organoid research. Each presentation was followed by a lively question and answer session.
