Research Field
Applications of computer science, especially simulation (polysaccharide conformation analysis), chemometrics and machine learning. My research group focuses on carbohydrates and lipids including global analyses of foods components, gene expression profiling of sugar and lipid metabolism, enzymatic syntheses of new functional carbohydrates and lipids, nanotechnology using carbohydrates and lipids, and biological activities of carbohydrates and lipids.
In addition, my research interests at HORIBA Ltd. were in the field of spectroscopy, especially Raman, infrared and fluorescence.
