Welcome to Biocatalyst Research Division of Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis

(Resources and Environment Chemistry Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science here

Our research division focuses on solar energy conversion that mimics natural photosynthetic reactions, and is also conducting research into the conversion of carbon dioxide into raw materials for plastics using a composite system consisting of biocatalysts, visible light absorbing pigments, and homogeneous catalysts, as well as hydrogen energy carriers.Specific research keywords are "artificial photosynthesis," "conversion of carbon dioxide into valuable materials," "carbon dioxide resource utilization," "green chemistry," and "hydrogen energy production and utilization."
