Professor Michael Pevzner, a former director of the Laboratory of Mathematics of Reims and a world-renowned researcher in non-commutative harmonic analysis, has conducted numerous joint research projects with Japanese mathematicians. Professor Michael Pevzner and Professor Hideyuki Ishi of OCAMI have known each other for a long time, and during the period when Professor Ishi was at his previous institution, Nagoya University, they utilized inter-university agreements to facilitate active exchanges, including visits by graduate students under their guidance to each other's institutions.

With the signing of this agreement, various educational and research exchanges between the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA) and OCAMI are planned to be promoted. In particular, there are plans to co-host international research meetings and summer schools in which faculty members and graduate students from both institutions will participate.
