About Research Center for Urban Health and Sports

Establishment

The Research Center for Urban Health and Sports (RCUHS) was established in 2006 to address complex issues related to human health and sports in society and region, as well as to promote healthy and active lifestyles. The Center was established in 1965 as a part of the Department of Liberal Arts, followed by Laboratory of Health and Physical Education (1990), Laboratory of Physical Education (1994), and reorganized as the RCUHS in 2002.

Mission

The RCUHS promotes interdisciplinary research on human health and sports and engages in education and social contribution to develop healthy and active lifestyles through sports and a prosperous social life.
