A research paper by Prof. Yutaka Amao's group was featured on the cover of an academic journal
A research paper by Prof. Yutaka Amao's group entitled "Colloidal platinum nanoparticles dispersed by polyvinylpyrrolidone and poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) with high catalytic activity for hydrogen production based on formate decomposition" has been featured on the cover of Sustainable Energy & Fuels, a journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
In this research, we succeeded in dramatically improving the efficiency of hydrogen production from formic acid by using platinum particles functionalized by cationic polymers. The design of the cover is based on the image of hydrogen and carbon dioxide being released when formic acid is ignited, using platinum particles functionalized by cationic polymers as fireworks seeds.
