We are pleased to announce that Associate Professor Daisuke Kozumi (Kumamoto University), who was affiliated with our Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Osaka City University from 2008 to 2015, will give a lecture on the latest research findings on the mechanism of solar energy utilization in natural photosynthesis. The lecture began with a self-introduction by the speaker, followed by a clear and detailed explanation of the importance of light harvesting in photosynthesis. The latest research findings obtained using ultrafast spectroscopy were presented in an easy-to-understand manner. Despite a relatively small audience of about ten people, the presentation was highly engaging, sparking lively discussions.
