The 2023 Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis Student Activity Award

Mika Takeuchi (Graduate School of Science, Department of Chemistry, Master's Course, 2nd year)

I'm truly honored to receive the Student Activities Award. Three years ago, I expressed my wish to engage in research on carbon dioxide utilization. At the beginning of my placement, I was completely lost, but I am sincerely grateful to the professors and senior colleagues who guided me with kindness and patience at all times. This year, I had the opportunity to participate in an international conference held on-site, allowing me to expand my knowledge as a researcher, even as a student. Starting this spring, I will begin my career at a manufacturing company. While the opportunities to directly apply what I learned during my studies may decrease, I will humbly strive to utilize the knowledge I gained in the lab over the past three years in new and different ways.

The 2023 Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis Student Presentation Award

(Platinum Award)

Kyousuke Yamada (Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry, 4th year)

I am truly grateful to be selected for the Student Presentation Award. I believe this is thanks to the guidance I received from many individuals since joining the lab. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Professor Amao, the lab staff, my seniors, and everyone who has supported me.
I am very pleased that my presentation on the construction of an amino acid synthesis system based on carbon-nitrogen bond formation driven by visible light, which I worked on this past year, was recognized. This award will motivate me to further dedicate myself to research after I enter graduate school. Thank you very much.

(Gold Award)

Ryo Mitsuta (Graduate School of Engineering, Department of Materials Science and Life Sciences, Master's Course, 1st year)

I am truly honored to receive the Student Presentation Award. I believe this recognition is due to the support of my fellow lab students and the guidance and encouragement from the faculty, especially Professor Yamada. I am particularly grateful for the understanding shown by Professor Yamada regarding my job search during a time when both research and job hunting were intensifying, as well as the support from my classmates.
As a researcher, I still have much to learn. Therefore, I will strive for further growth and research achievements, dedicating myself even more to my work. I kindly ask for your continued guidance and support in the future. Thank you very much.

(Gold Award)

Shintaro Yoshikawa (Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry, 4th year)

I am truly honored to receive the Student Presentation Award at the Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis's activity report meeting, and I would like to sincerely thank the professors for their ongoing guidance. I also extend my gratitude to my lab colleagues for their support during my research life.
In regard to the research I presented, I received valuable feedback that has helped identify new challenges. Starting next academic year, I aim to work diligently toward further development. Lastly, I would like to express my deep appreciation to everyone involved in organizing this activity report meeting. Thank you very much.
