Prof. Yutaka Amao's team has won the OSAKA REBORN Award in the REBORN Content Discovery PROJECT.

The research team led by Professor Yutaka Amao of the Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis has won the OSAKA REBORN Award in the REBORN Content Discovery PROJECT.

Osaka Prefecture and Osaka City are conducting studies on how to participate in exhibitions, such as pavilions, in a manner befitting the host city of the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo. Accordingly, we have compiled a "Basic Concept for Participation in the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo" and, in this concept, we aim to create exhibitions where visitors can experience "life," "health," and the lifestyle of the near future, while also conveying the vitality and appeal of Osaka to a wider global audience.

Additionally, the main theme of our participation is "REBORN," which conveys the meanings of "people can be reborn" and "taking a new step." We aim to create exhibitions and events where visitors can form deep and lasting memories through experiences and co-creation.

In order to realize this concept and contribute to the planning of specific content for exhibitions and events at Osaka's pavilions and other facilities, we solicited proposals for specific content that we would like to realize in 2025.

This time, we received a total of 208 idea proposals from 118 organizations, and 8 ideas were selected for the OSAKA REBORN Award. Professor Amao's team's idea is "Experiencing the Future Technology of Transforming Carbon Dioxide into Plastic."
