At the media day for the Osaka-Kansai Expo, Professor Yutaka Amao presented the exhibition contents related to artificial photosynthesis technology.
The "Media Day," an event to showcase the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 venue and the interior of pavilions to the press, was held on Wednesday, April 9th. At the "Iida Group Holdings x Osaka Metropolitan University Joint Exhibition Pavilion," Professor Yutaka Amao from the Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis presented the exhibition contents related to artificial photosynthesis technology.
Artificial photosynthesis technology, which aims to create energy by utilizing carbon dioxide, is a key technology for energy self-sufficiency in housing. Joint research on this technology has been underway between Osaka Metropolitan University and Iida Group Holdings Co., Ltd. since 2015.<.p>
At the "Iida Group Holdings x Osaka Metropolitan University Joint Exhibition Pavilion," visitors can enjoyably learn visually about the mechanism of artificial photosynthesis and the differences between it and photosynthesis performed by plants, appealing to both children and adults. The exhibition includes not only the latest actual artificial photosynthesis device and video footage of demonstration experiments but also informative displays.
