From April 1, 2022, the Department of Earth Sciences, Faculty of Science, Osaka Metropolitan University and Graduate School of Science, Osaka Metropolitan University has started. In addition to the 9 faculty members of Osaka City University and 3 faculty members of Osaka Prefecture University, there will be 16 new faculty members, including 4 new faculty members. The Department of Earth Sciences consists of two fields, Environmental Geosciences (4 laboratorys: Quaternary Research, Geophysics, Geoinformatics, Natural Hazards Geoscience) and Earth Evolution Sciences (3 laboratorys: Mineralogy, Petrology, Geohistory).
