大阪公立大学博士後期課程・博士課程に2024年春4月入学者及び2024年秋9・10月入学者対象とした次世代研究者挑戦的研究プログラムの支援学生を追加募集します。 

We are additionally accepting applications for Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation (SPRING) for students who have already enrolled in  Spring(April) 2024 and Fall(September/October) 2024 in OMU doctoral course.

＜事業について＞

本学は、博士後期課程の学生を対象とした文部科学省および国立研究開発法人科学技術振興機構(JST)の「次世代研究者挑戦的研究プログラム」(SPRING)に採択されました。それぞれの研究の深化・発展の場として、他の領域・分野の専門知を積極的に吸収し、多様な 専門知を有機的に結合して社会課題の解決や先導的研究領域の創成、未来の社会像を抽出してそれを具現化する能 力を養成する「総合知養成の場」へと発展させることを目的として、「リゾーム型研究者人材育成」を掲げてきました。
これをさらに展開して、本学が地域中核・特色ある研究大学強化促進事業で掲げる「マルチスケールシンクタンク機能を備えた成熟都市創造拠点の構築」に貢献し得る人材を持続的に輩出することを目的として、視野の広いリゾーム型の研究者を目指す優秀な博士学生を支援します。　

＜申請資格＞  

• 2024年春4月もしくは2024年秋9・10月入学者として、大阪公立大学大学院博士後期課程（3年制）もしくは博士課程（4年制）の研究科に在籍している者
  
  

＜募集人員＞  

• 採用候補者13名程度(予定)

＜支援内容＞

• 研究奨励費（生活費相当額）：年間210万円(半年105万円）
• 研究費：年間10万円または20万円(半年5万円または10万円）
• キャリア開発・育成コンテンツ費：申請審査あり（海外留学、国際学会、インターンシップ、国内留学、自主プロジェクト活動、論文投稿、国内学会等）

＜支援期間＞

2025年4月1日～標準修業年限まで

＊支援期間中に休学する場合は、その事由により支援打ち切りの可能性があります。また、本選考での選抜者であっても支援対象外となる場合があります（詳しくは募集要項にて、ご確認願います）。

＜選考日程＞ 

■申請期間：2025年4月9日（水）～5月20日（火） 12 時正午　（申請フォーム入力送信期限） 

■面接試験：2025年5月28日（水）～6月13日（金）のうち指定する20分程度  ZOOM（7分プレゼンテーション 13分質疑応答）　　　

■合格発表：2025年7月15日（火）を予定

■選考方法：小論文（100点）ならびに面接（100点）の採点結果に基づき評価します。 

※ 採点は募集要項に掲載のルーブリック評価表の項目内容に沿って、実施されます。

〈About this Program〉

Osaka Metropolitan University has been selected for the "Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation (SPRING)" program, administered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), targeting doctoral students. Under the initiative titled "Rhizome-style Researcher Development for Interdisciplinary Knowledge Blooming," the university aims to cultivate researchers who, while deepening their own research, actively absorb expertise from other fields. This approach seeks to organically integrate diverse specialized knowledge to address societal challenges, create pioneering research areas, and conceptualize and realize future societal visions.

Building upon this foundation, the program further aims to contribute to the university's goal of establishing a "Mature City Innovation Hub with Multi-scale Think Tank Functions," as outlined in its regional core and distinctive research university enhancement initiatives. By supporting outstanding doctoral students aspiring to become broad-minded, rhizome-style researchers, the university endeavors to sustainably produce talent capable of driving such innovations.

〈Application Eligibility 〉

・Applicants must be currently enrolled in the 3-year or 4-year doctoral program of the Graduate School of Osaka Metropolitan University, with enrollment starting in April 2024 or September/October 2024.

〈Number of Students to be Accepted〉

・Approx. 13 persons

.

〈Details of Support〉

・Incentive (support for living expenses): 2,100,000 yen per year (1,050,000 yen per half year)

・Research support: 100,000 or 200,000 yen per year

・Career Development and Training Content Expenses: Subject to Application Review (e.g., overseas study, international conferences, internships, domestic study, independent project activities, journal submissions, domestic conferences, etc.)

 

.〈Support period〉

・From April 1, 2025 to the end of the standard study term 

※If you take a leave of absence during the support period, the support may be terminated depending on the reason.
Even if a candidate has passed the selection process, his/her employment may be cancelled if he/she meets the conditions that make him/her ineligible for support at the start of the program (please refer to the application guidelines for details).

〈Schedule〉

・Forms submission: Wednesday, April 9, 2025 -Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.

・Interview: Approximately 20 minutes via Zoom,

scheduled between Wednesday, May 28 and Friday, June 13, 2025

(7-minute presentation + 13-minute Q&A session)
・Announcement of Acceptance:  scheduled Tuesday, July 15, 2025..

〈Selection Method〉

Evaluation (scoring) will be performed in accordance with the results of the Essay (100 points) and Interview (100 points).

※Scoring will be based on the Rubric Evaluation Table. The Rubric Evaluation Table is provided in the application guidelines.
