次世代研究者挑戦的研究プログラム
「次世代研究者挑戦的研究プログラム」とは
本事業は、大学の研究科や研究室など既存の枠組みを越えて優秀な博士後期課程学生を選抜し、事業統括のリーダーシップのもと、当該博士後期課程学生に対する様々な支援を実施・展開する大学の取組を国として支援するものです。詳細は、国立研究開発法人科学技術振興機構（JST）のWebサイトをご覧ください。
本学の取組み概要
本学は、2021年度より国立研究開発法人科学技術振興機構（JST）の「大学フェローシップ創設事業」および「次世代研究者挑戦的研究プログラム『リゾーム型研究人材育成プログラム』」のもと、博士後期課程・博士課程に対する経済的支援と研究・キャリアパス形成支援等を行ってまいりました。
2024 年度からは両事業が一本化され、事業名を『次世代研究者挑戦的研究プログラム』として博士学生支援事業が行われることとなり、本学もプロジェクト『リゾーム型研究者人材育成による学際知ブルーミング』を申請し採択されております。
（採択期間：2024年度～2026年度 ※2027年度以降は毎年度見直しあり)
本プログラムでは両事業での支援実績を活かし、博士後期課程・博士課程の学生が専門知の深化・発展の場に留めるのではなく、他の領域・分野の専門知を積極的に吸収したうえで深化・発展させ、その多様な専門知を有機的に結合して、社会課題の解決や先導的研究領域の創成、未来社会の創造に貢献できる人材、すなわち「総合知で未来社会の創造に貢献できる人財」の更なる育成を目指しています。

This project supports universities in selecting outstanding doctoral students beyond the existing frameworks of faculties and laboratories, and in providing various forms of support to these doctoral students under the leadership of the project manager. Program Overview
Since FY2021, Osaka Metropolitan University has been providing financial support for doctoral students as well as support for research and career path development under the "University Fellowship Founding Project" and the "Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation / SPRING (Rhizome Program)" of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
From FY2024, the two programs are integrated into a new program named "Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation / SPRING (Rhizome-Type Researcher Development for Interdisciplinary Knowledge Blooming) to support doctoral students. (Adoption period: FY2024 - FY2026 *After FY2027, the program will be reviewed annually)
In this program, we will utilize the support provided by the two programs to encourage doctoral students not only to deepen and develop their expertise, but also to enhance it by actively absorbing knowledge in other fields and disciplines. By organically combining their diverse expertise, we aim to create human resources capable of solving social issues, creating leading research fields, and shaping future societies. In other words, we aim to further develop human resources who can contribute to the creation of a future society with their comprehensive knowledge.
