Joint Research System
Joint Research System
1 |
At the Center for Research and Development of Bioresources, we accept researchers and receive research expenses from private companies. Our researchers then conduct joint project research. |

2 | Private company researchers can conduct joint research at our university while employed at private companies. |
3 |
Joint research is divided into two types. Type 1: Research in which we accept researchers and receive research expenses Type 2: Research in which we receive research expenses only ※The research period is typically 1-2 years. However, we welcome short- and long-term projects, too. Furthermore, unless there are any specific requests, the university appoints its own member of faculty as the research project coordinator. |
4 | The approval of a research project is deliberated by the center's management committee. |
5 |
Because private company researchers are required to pay research fees to conduct research at the center, we ask companies to cover research expenses, including the fee. |
6 |
If patents that arise as a result of joint research are a joint invention, a joint application is filed, and the patent is shared. Also, a private company holding the patent or an entity appointed by the patent holder may have priority for the patent's implementation within 10 years of the application. |
